General Settings for Group " Password Policy" in Dental4Windows

Where to find the General Setting

  1. Go to Location Setup > General tab > Group: Password Policy

Settings

Change user password reminder period (in days) 

Length of time in days, a user is notified that they need to change their password, default is set to 7 days.

Enable password expiration

Enable password to expire after a set period of time.
Maximum user password age (in days) general setting also needs to be set

Enable password Restrictions

Restrictions when setting up passwords can be enabled e.g. password has to be a certain character length.

Setup of password restrictions can also be done in Security tab.
  1. Enable password restrictions > Yes

Enforce password history (0-5) (In draft - will be published soon)

Maximum user password age (in days) (In draft - will be published soon)

Minimum password length (1/64) (In draft - will be published soon)

Password must contain alphabetic and numeric values (In draft - will be published soon)
