Treatment Plan Case Presentations in D4Web

QuoteThe Case Presentation feature allows Providers to present Treatment Plans not only with items and fees but also notes and images, which will describe the work proposed to their patients to help increase treatment plan acceptance.

Activate Treatment Plan Case Presentation

The feature is deactivated by default in Treatment Plan. To activate a case presentation:
  1. TreatPlan toolbar > Show Case Presentation
  2. See the Case Presentation section to the right of screen (Information is present here when treatment items are created)

Build a Treatment Plan Case Presentation for a Patient

With the feature activated, when items and visits are added to the Treatment Plan, the Case Presentation will build.
  1. Enter item numbers 
  2. Specify Visit(s) and Phases if relevant, Visits are a requirement even if only one is set

  3. See the Case Presentation section, showing items broken down by visits and phases if applicable (use the scroll to move up and down to see all visits/ phases)

  4. Each section of the Case Presentation can be labelled and notes can be written, it is not required to add details to each, however the more information added, the better the case as they can be added to the letter via input fields
    1. Title: Double click and enter the name of the presentation in the Label field e.g. Dr Sophia
    2. Phase #: Double click and enter the name of each phase and notes if applicable in the Label field, e.g. Complete Examination
    3. Visit #: Double click and enter the name of each visit and notes if applicable in the Label field, e.g. Exam & Xrays

Create Treatment Plan Case Presentation Templates

To save time when presenting a plan to patients, it is recommended commonly used cases are setup as templates.
For example: If the practice commonly recommends Implants, an Implant Case Presentation template can be created and then edited as needed on a case per case basis. 
  1. Ensure the Case Presentation feature is activated
  2. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Letters page
  3. Select Case Presentation category
  4. Template toolbar > Create Template
    1. Specify Template Name: Enter the name, e.g. Dr Sophia
    2. Specify Template Description: Enter a description of the template, e.g. RCT recommendations
    3. For Multi Practice - Show at All Locations or Show at selected locations (pick the locations)
    4. Click OK

  5. The default letter template will appear onscreen, design the template as needed, using Input Fields to help automatically input data from the patients' file when opened against their Treatment Plan 
  6. In the Template:
    1. Mail Merge tab
    2. Add Field
    3. Scroll through the List of Fields to find input fields required
    4. Highlight and Click OK

  7. When finished creating the template:
    1. Go to File toolbar
    2. Click Save and Close

Create a Treatment Plan Case Presentation letter for Patient

With the template created, it is simple to then generate a Case Presentation for a patient. 
  1. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Treatment Plan page
  2. TreatPlan toolbar > Create Case Presentation letter
  3. Select from the list of Templates
  4. Click OK

  5. Edit the letter as required
  6. Click Print

View Saved Treatment Plan Case Presentations

When a Case Presentation Letter is saved against a patients' file, it can be accessed at any time
  1. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Treatment Plan page
  2. TreatPlan toolbar > Open Existing Case Presentation Letter
  3. Select the letter from the list
  4. Click OK
