Appointment Book Navigation: Toolbar Descriptions and Views
This article explains how to navigate the Appointment Book in Dental4Web, including what each toolbar icon does and how to switch between the available book views. It is intended for reception and clinical staff who work in the Appointment Book day to day.

Appointment Book Toolbar Navigation View
Multi Book View
Single Book View
Toolbar icons descriptions from left to right visible in all views
From left to right, these let you move backward or forward by day, week or month (up to 12 months), jump to today, and pick a date from the drop-down calendar. They also give quick access to the Standby List, Cancellation List, patient bookings via eAppointments and eServices Patient Conflicts. You can also find a patient and go directly to their file, see the location name, open Task Manager notifications, show full screen, and open the hamburger menu.

Choose to show 1 to 9 days and see the book name.
Show 1 to 9 days
Single Book View
Book name
Icons ONLY visible when to Multi Book View.
Choose to show 1 to 12 books on screen, move forward or backward when a group contains more books than are in view, and see the Appointment Group name.
Show/ View 1 up to 12 books on screen
Move forward or backward when the number of books in group is larger than books in view
Multi Book View
Appointment Group name when in Multi book view
Appointment Book Views
Single Book View
Used to view one Book / Provider at a time for up to 9 days at a time.
- Click the navigation menu > Appointments
- Click Single Book View icon
- Select number of days to view
Multiple Book View
Used to view up to 9 Books / Providers at a time with the ability to scroll to more books.
- Click the navigation menu > Appointments
- Click Multiple Book View icon
- Select number of books to view or the group to view
Multiple Location Book View
Only when a database is set up to view more than one location at a time is this feature available.
- Click the navigation menu > Appointments
- Select Location from drop list
- Select the location to view

Grouped Book View
Group selected appointment books into one view so you do not need to view all books at once.
