Appointment Breaks, Pre-Booked Slots & Classes in Dental4Web

The Appointment book has many other features including adding breaks, pre-booked (Pre-set) & classes.
Breaks May be used for any purpose where a ad hoc slot filler is needed - i.e. last minute cuppa break
Pre- Booked slots May be used to allocate specific slots to specific treatments or schedules. - i.e. regular staff meetings  
Classes Colours can be preset and used to colour distinguish appt type when scheduling - i.e: Denture class colour

Insert individual breaks into Appointment book

The following individual break can be used when a (one off) break is required. These breaks are created directly into the specific date & time slot required.
To add regular breaks into templates, see topic: Insert Regular Breaks into Appointment Template
  1. Click the navigation menu > Appointments
  2. Right click on required appointment time slot
    1. Insert new > Break

    2. Select Start at, End at and Duration
    3. Choose background colour, Text colour, Work time, Important Information from the drop lists
    4. Click OK

Add Pre-Booked (Pre-set) Slots to Appointment Day

  1. To create new or delete Pre-Booked (Pre-set) slots: See Setup & Manage Appointment Pre Booked Slots & Classes features in D4Web
  2. To add Pre-Booked (Pre-set) slots to templates: Design / Update Appointment Book Templates
  1. Click the navigation menu > Appointments
  2. Right click on the time to add the slot to
  3. Insert New... > Preset Slot
    1. Enter the Start and End time / enter a Duration
    2. Select the Slot Type
    3. Place a tick in Important Information to prevent future template changes overwriting this slot
    4. Click OK


Remove Pre-Booked (Pre-set) Slots from Appointment Day

Remove a Pre-Booked slot from the appointment book 
  1. Click the navigation menu > Appointments
    1. Right click on the Pre-Booked (Pre-set) slot

    2. Click OK

Appointment Classes

Once the Appointment classes have been setup, you can use them when scheduling appointments
