When Charting in Treatment Required, the Treatment Plan can be bypassed and items entered directly into the Treatment tab as done.- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Work in CHARTING without planning stage (pastes items as already done)
- No: Items are entered into Treatment Plan (default setting)
- Yes: Items are entered directly into Treatment
Age at which MIXED CHARTING begins
When accessing the patient's Charting, the default chart displayed is based on the patient's age.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Age at which MIXED CHARTING begins
- Enter the age at which Mixed Charting begins. Default = 6
Any patients younger than the selected age will have a deciduous chart as default chart.
Final Age where MIXED CHARTING applies
When accessing the patient's Charting, the default chart displayed is based on the patient's age.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Final Age where MIXED CHARTING applies
- Enter the final age at which Mixed Charting applies. Default = 13
Any patients older than the selected age will have an adult chart as the default.
Show CPITN Score
The patient's CPITN (Community Periodontal Index of Treatment Needs) score can be displayed in the patient's Chart.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show CPITN score
- No: The CPITN score is not displayed
- Yes: The CPITN score is displayed
This setting can also be changed in the Charting tab.
- Go to Patient Records > Charting tab
- Charting menu > Show CPITN score
Mode of Charting
The Mode of Charting can be changed so that only certain charting tabs will be visible.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Mode of Charting:
- 2D Charting Only: 3D Charting tab will not be available
- 3D Charting Only: 2D Charting tab will not be available
- 2D and 3D Charting: Both Charting tabs will be visible
Show Treatment Plan/Treatment Tab
When viewing Charting, the patient's Treatment Plan or Treatment can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show Treatment Plan/Treatment Tab
- None: Neither is displayed (default setting)
- Show Treatment Plan: Treatment Plan is displayed (recommended)
- Show Treatment: Treatment is displayed
This setting can also be changed in the Charting tab.
- Go to Patient Records > Charting tab
- Find/View menu > Select either Show Treatment Plan or Show Treatment
Show Surface Border in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, the surface borders on each tooth can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show surface border in 3D Charting
- No: No border is displayed (default setting)
- Yes: Surface borders are displayed
Show Patient Documents in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, the patient's Document Manager can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show patient documents in 3D charting
- No: Document Manager is not displayed
- Yes: Document Manager is displayed
Show CMS thumbnails in 3D charting
When viewing 3D Charting, images saved using Centaur Media Suite can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show CMS thumbnails in 3D charting
- Yes: Images saved in Centaur Media Suite are displayed
Show Hints in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, hints added to an item number can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show hints in 3D Charting
- Yes: Hints are displayed (default setting)
Show Notes in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, notes entered on a tooth can be displayed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show notes in 3D Charting
- Yes: Notes are displayed (default setting)
Set Display Controls in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, the position of the control Panel can be changed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Display controls on
- Right: Controls are displayed on the right
- Left: Controls are displayed on the left (default setting)
This setting can also be changed in the Charting tab.
- Go to Patient Records > Charting tab
- Charting menu > Set Display Options
- Under Preferences > Display controls on
- Select Left or Right
- Click OK
Show Background Picture in 3D Charting
When viewing 3D Charting, the background can be replaced by a picture.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Picture
- Select a picture from to upload then click Open
- The image is now the background
- Click the cross to remove the image
The background picture can also be changed in the Charting tab.
- Go to Patient Records > Charting tab
- Charting menu > Set Display Options
- Under Preferences > Picture
- Select
to upload a background image - Select
to remove background image - Select OK
Synchronise View: Current condition and Treatment required
When viewing 3D Charting, Current Condition and Treatment Required can rotate in sync when using Display controls.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting

- No: Current Condition and Treatment Required will rotate separately (default setting)
- Yes: Current Condition and Treatment Required will rotate in sync
Set 3D Charting Hint Text Colour
When viewing 3D Charting, the hint text colour can be changed from the default colour to one of your choice.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Hint Text colour in 3D Charting
- Click the box on the right and select the hint text colour
Set 3D Charting Background Colour
When viewing 3D Charting, the background colour can be changed.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab

When viewing 3D Charting, the size of the hints text can be changed.

Show Quadrant Separators
When viewing 3D Charting, the quadrants can be separated by a feint border.

When viewing images saved using MediaSuite, images attached to a tooth number can be displayed when that tooth is selected.
Show CMS thumbnails in 3D charting (see section above) and Display MediaSuite buttons on chart (see section below) must be enabled.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Turn on CMS image filtering
- No: All images are displayed
- Yes: Images assigned to the selected tooth are displayed
When an images saved using MediaSuite has been assigned to a tooth, an icon can be displayed on that tooth.- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Display CMS buttons on chart
- Yes: An icon appears on the tooth when viewing 2D Charting
- A box appears around the Tooth Number when viewing 3D Charting
Show Images Included in a Study
When viewing images saved using MediaSuite, images that are attached to a study can be displayed as individual images.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Group: Charting
- Show images included in a study
- No: The Study appears in Charting (default setting)
- Yes: Individual images in the Study are also displayed
