Smile is a dental plan that offers Smile members’ savings off their treatment when visiting a participating practice.
It is a subscription service for both practice and patients that guarantees a saving every time the patient visits the dentist.
Smile Fee Schedule
Smile uses a set fee level for specific treatment items to ensure the patient is given reduced fees. Charge fees in accordance with the Smile Fee Schedule
Smile in Dental4Windows
Setup Fee level & Fees
Create Smile Fee Level
- Go to Location Management > Fees tab
- Click New Level
- Enter new level name: e.g. Smile Fees
- Enter the values in the Fee column
- Click OK

- If the fees are a exact amount, (i.e 15% less than your standard fee) you may:
- Click Update the fees
- Select Decrease fees
- Enter 15%
- Tick Update all fees
- Click OK

Enter New Smiles Fees
Using the Smile Fee Schedule, enter the Smile Fee against each applicable treatment item.
Please have in mind that fees will vary depending on what state the practice is located in.
How to Use Smile Fee Schedule
Configuring Patient's File
- Go to Patient Records > Patients tab > Insurance/Various sub-tab
- Select Smile Fee from Location Fee Level droplist

Alternatively
- Go to Patient Records > Treatment Plan/Treatment tab
- Select Smile Fee from Fee Level droplist

- If the fee level is changed after items have been entered in Treatment Plan or Treatment tab, one of the following messages will appear

- Click Yes to recalculate all fees to Smile Fee Level.
Generating Invoices
Providing the patient has the Smile Fee Level selected, invoice can be processed as normal.
For patients with a private health fund card, visit Smile.com.au for further details.

- Click NEW LEVEL
- Enter new level name: e.g. Smile Fee
- Click OK
- Alternatively, if the fees are a exact amount, (i.e 15% less than your standard fee) you may:
- Select Standard under Copy all fees from drop list
- Select Standard Fee Level period if applicable
Click OK
- Next, Click UPDATE THE FEES
- Select Decrease fees
- Enter 15%
- Tick UPDATE ALL FEES
- Click OK
