Setup printer for Dental4Windows Cloud

When printing with D4W Cloud, the printers connected to the local computer must be redirected to the Cloud session. Therefore, there will likely be a printing delay as soon as Dental4Windows Cloud is opened to allow for this to happen.

Setup printer delay

If a delay is activated, you will be required to wait this period each time you open Dental4Windows Cloud. For example, if a user opens Dental4Windows Cloud now, they will need to wait 20 seconds before printing anything. This timer provides adequate time for printers to be discovered on the local computer and then redirected to the Cloud session.

  1. Go to Location Setup > General tab
  2. Group: Paths & Links

Setup Printer

When using Dental4Windows Cloud, the printer options must be set to Default Printer. A nominated printer must be set as the default printer for the computer, and Dental4Windows Cloud will use this printer. If you need to use a different printer for a one-off purpose, you must choose this printer from the menus in Dental4Windows Cloud. Please note the printer will be called the common name but also include a redirection number.

  1. Go to Location Setup > General tab
  2. Group: Paths & Links
