The Treatment Plan items can be broken down into multiple visits.

• Allows reception staff to recognise which items are being performed per visit when booking

• When printed/e-mailed, patients can see procedures per visit with an estimated cost
  

1. Go to Patient Records > TreatPlan tab
2. Below the Treatment Plan Items, click Order Visit
1. A pink line will appear in the Vis column
   Highlight each item to include in the first visit
2. Click 1
   
   
3. Repeat steps for the remaining visits
4. When done, click Order Visit button and the pink line will be removed
   
   

The Treatment Plan can have time allocated to each visit. 

• Provides insight to those scheduling visits, how long is required
• Auto-allocates appointment time when scheduling 

1. Go to Patient Records > TreatPlan tab
1. Standard Appointment Book
1. Enter the time per visit in the min column
   
   
2. Team Appointment Book
1. Enter the time per visit in the Time column using relevant symbols in 10 minute intervals.

The following instructions will remove ALL visits from the selected treatment plan. 

1. Go to Patient Details > TreatPlan tab
2. Treatment Plan menu > Reset Patient Visits
   

Dental4Windows allows for alternative treatment plans to be generated for a patient, helping reduce confusion in tracking and patient comprehension. 

1. Go to Patient Records > Treatment Plan tab
2. Select the plan to create an alternative of from the Date drop list
3. Treatment Plan menu > Create Alternative Treatment Plan
   
   
4. Build the new plan
   
   
5. Switch between the two options using the Alternative Plans drop list
   
   

Alternative Plans can only be deleted if they have no had items used from them, i.e. transferred to Treatment. 

1. Go to Patient Records > Treatment Plan tab
2. Select the multi-option plans from the Date drop list
3. Select the alternative plan to delete from the Alternative Plans drop list
   
   
4. Treatment Plan menu > Delete Whole Plan
   

Once setup per the Setup Item Groups / Quick Lists, follow the below to use the lists on a patient.

Operations will only show in the tabs selected per the above steps. When selected from the Charting and Perio tabs, items will appear in Treatment Plan.

Charting Tab

A tooth must be selected to add an Operation to the Treatment tab, even if unrelated to a tooth.

1. Go to Patient Records > Charting tab (2D/3D)
2. Click a tooth surface in Treatment Required
3. Click the appropriate Operation on the menu
1. Items will be entered on the Treatment Plan if selected Composition
2. Window will appear to select relevant item to enter on Treatment Plan
