Activate Treatment Plan Case Presentation
The Case Presentation feature allows Providers to present Treatment Plan not only with items and fees but also notes and images, which will describe the work proposed to their patients to help increase treatment plan acceptance.
The feature is deactivated by default in Treatment Plan.
- Go to Patient Records > Treatment Plan tab
- Treatment Plan menu > Case Presentation
- See the Case Presentation section to the right of screen

Create Treatment Plan Case Presentation Templates
To save time when presenting a plan to patients, it is recommended commonly used cases are setup as templates. For example, if the practice commonly recommends Implants, an Implant Case Presentation should be created and edited per case.
- Ensure the Case Presentation feature is activated
- Go to Patient Records > Letters tab
- Select Case Presentation category
- Template menu > Create Template

- Specify Template Name: Enter the name, e.g. Implant Presentation
- Specify Template Description: Enter a description of the template, e.g. Dr Smith's Implants
- Click OK
- The default letter template will appear onscreen, design the template as needed, using Input Fields to help automatically input data from the patients' file when opened against their Treatment Plan
- In Microsoft Word see the Add-Ins menu/tab for Input Fields

- In RTF, see the Insert menu > Input field...

- Select the Input field to add to template

- When finished creating the template, go to File menu > Save and Exit
When the Case Presentation feature is activated, when creating templates, additional Input Fields are available. Input Fields are found within an InsertD4W menu, however where that menu is positioned depends on the version of MSWord used or if using the RTF Editior.
With the Input Fields window in view, see the Treatment Plan section.

Build a Treatment Plan Case Presentation for a Patient
With the feature activated, when items and visits are added to the Treatment Plan, the Case Presentation will build.
- Go to Patient Records > Treatment Plan tab
- Enter item numbers
- Specify Visit(s) and Phases if relevant, Visits are a requirement even if only one is set
- See the Case Presentation section showing items broken down by visits and phases if applicable

- Each section of the Case Presentation can be labelled and notes can be written, it is not required to add details to each, however the more information added, the better the case as they can be added to the letter via input fields
- Title: Double click and enter the name of the presentation, e.g. Preparing for Braces
- Phase #: Double click and enter the name of each phase and notes if applicable, e.g. Wisdom Tooth Extractions
- Visit #: Double click and enter the name of each visit and notes if applicable, e.g. Upper Extractions
