How to configure eKiosk within Dental4Windows

These configurations are required for eKiosk to function correctly.

eKiosk is a service that allows patients to check in on their device or on a practice device to update their appointment status in D4W to Arrived on their arrival at the practice. Patient can be prompted to fill out any due eForms.

Once you have updated your D4W to build 5685 due out week of 26/8/2024, the eKiosk General Setting should be visible. If not Contact us.

eKiosk Accessibility

eKiosk online service is accessible on this URL with the unique practice organisation code added.  

  1. https://www.centaurportal.com/ekiosk/XXXXX/sms
  1. Enter practice org code, e.g. 01456 where the XXXXX is in example above 
  2. Practice organisation code which can be found in Location Setup > General > Group: eServices > Location for sharing eForms
Activate eKiosk in Dental4Windows
  1. Location Setup > General> Group: System Settings
  2.  At Enable Kiosk, select Yes
Configure eKiosk in Dental4Windows
  1. Location Setup > General > Group: eKiosk Settings
  2. At Redirect to eForms at patient arrival, select Yes. Must have eForms installed and will only work during the eKiosk check in process.  
  3. At Enable eKiosk as web service, select Yes. This enables D4W to connect to eKiosk as a web service
  4. At Enable Self Check on Kiosk (Local), select Yes. This enables D4W to connect to eKiosk for location
  5. Check in start time = -30 (recommended)
  6. Check in end time = 60 (recommended) 
    The amount of time the system will search for a patients appointment from the current time. Its recommended to set it for 30 mins in the past (-30) and 60 mins in the future (60). This is to ensure the privacy for the patient as the system will only search for a 90 minute window. If the booked appointment is out of this time frame it will say there is no booking found.
  7. eKiosk assistance message
    The message sent when assistance is required
Configure eKiosk link to eForms

Patients can be prompted to fill out required eForms after they have marked themselves as Arrived
