Item Triggers in Dental4Windows
Setup trigger items and trigger item to be added to treatment when a recall is sent.
A trigger is a feature that allows to always have an item code automatically entered into treatment when another is entered. For example, each time you enter the item code 114, item code 121 is to be entered automatically.
- To go Location Setup > Items tab
- Select the item to be automatically entered (e.g. 121)
- Click Triggers sub-tab
- Tick Use Triggers
- Untick All Items
- Enter the item to trigger this item (e.g. 114)

Frequency
At this stage, the only option available is Once a day. This means that the trigger will only work once per day per patient.

Usage
When the trigger item is entered into Treatment (e.g. 114), the item is automatically entered (e.g. 121)

Automatically Add a Recall Item to Treatment when Recalls are sent
When a Recall reminder is sent successfully to a patient, D4W/PSS can automatically add an item to the Treatment tab.
The item needs to be configured.
- Go to Location Setup > General tab
- Select Group: Treatment
- Set Automatically add item in Treatment when a Recall is sent to Yes

- Go to Location Setup > Items tab
- Highlight the Recalls sent to patient item > Other Details sub-tab
- Tick Non-Treatment
- Tick Recall

- The selected item will appear in Treatment automatically
