Patient Details & Insurances in Dental4Web

Insurance details for Health Funds which can also include: CBDS, DVA etc. and / or any other Insurance companies where a claim may be needed.

Where to find the Patients Insurance information

1. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Patients page > Insurance/Various tab
   

Most Insurance details have been preset, however if a new insurance company is and you require instructions, click here (link coming soon)

Setup Patient File for Insurance Claims

1. Insurance Level: Click LIST
   
   
1. Click ADD
   
1. Select relevant Insurance Fund
   
2. Enter Member ID
   
3. Enter Series
   
2. Click EXIT
   

 Add Multiple Insurance Plans Against One Patient

If the Patient has more than 1 insurance plan:

1. Once in the Insurance Details window:
   
1. Click ADD
   
1. Select the Insurance Plan from Code column
   
2. Enter the Member ID found on patient card 
   
3. Enter the Series found on the patient card 
   
4. Enter a Date Start and Date End if applicable for this insurance plan
   
5. Repeat steps to add more insurance plans
   
2. Click EXIT
   
   

Single Insurance plan view

Even though the above view can be used for single insurance plans, the original view does not handle multiple insurances.

If not setup to handle multiple insurance companies and you prefer the original view, the Insurance/Various sub-tab will look like this. 

1. Select the fund from the Insurance Plan list and enter the Member ID and Series
   
   

Delete or Discontinue Insurance Plan from Patient File

Multiple Insurance Environment

1. Insurance/Various tab > Click LIST
   
2. Highlight the row no longer required
   
1. Click REMOVE
   
1. Click DELETE if the Insurance is to be deleted permanently 
   
2. Click DISCONTINUE if the plan has ended but you wish to keep a history record. Enter the end date.
   
2. Click EXIT
   

Single Insurance Environment

1. Insurance/Various tab 
   
1. Change the Insurance Plan to <None>
   

Selecting Fund to Claiming

When working in a multiple insurance environment, the user must select the relevant insurance before they process the claim

1. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Treatment page
   
2. In the Insurance Level section, select the relevant number 
   
   
3. Process claim as per usual
