UAE: International Classification of Diseases (ICD) in Dental4Windows

Listed below are how to Setup ICD favourite list, Add ICD code from favourite list and add ICD code for an item. 

Setup ICD Favourite List

The Provider can independently manage their own International Classification of Diseases (ICD) Favourites lists. This will apply to Personal Access only.

Activate ICD Favourite List

1. Go to Location Setup > General > Group: Treatment > ICD: Design of Select ICD Code (personal Access only) > New
   
   

Setup ICD Favourite Code

1. Go to Patient Records > Treatment tab
2. Treatment menu > Select Manage ICD and attachments...
3. Select ICD button against the item
   
   
4. In the Favourites subtab, select Setup Favourites
   
   
5. Select List name from drop down menu
6. In Find section, enter Code > Select codes > Select Add
7. Click OK
   
   

Add ICD Code from Favourite List

Users can setup their own list of favourite International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes using the Setup Favourites option and will have the ability to select ICD codes for the items from this list. Users can select ICD codes from their previous appointments using the Previous Appointment subtab.

1. Go to Patient Records > Treatment tab
2. Treatment menu > Select Manage ICD and Attachments...
3. Select ICD button against item
   
   
4. Select Favourites subtab > choose Favourite list by selecting radio button or from drop down list
5. Select ICD codes > select Add
   
   
6. Click Ok
   

Add ICD Code for an Item

International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is a system used by physicians and other healthcare providers to classify and code all diagnoses.

1. Go to Patient Records > Treatment tab
2. Treatment menu > select Manage ICD and attachments...
1. Select ICD button against item
   
   
2. Select Find subtab
   
   
3. Search ICD by Code or Description field, Select ICD > select Add > select OK
