Treatment Plan is used to record treatment required for the patient, case presentations, Plan status & Alternatives can be created, H/F and payment plan quotes & treatment comparisons. Items can be grouped into visits and linked to the patient appointments 

Where to find the Treatment Plan page

Click the navigation menu > Patients > Treatment Plan page

Charting Link to Treatment Plan

Treatment Plan is used to record treatment required for the patient and can also be used to provide a quotation to the patient.
The Treatment Plan can be generated automatically via Charting or by manually adding items.
This means, any treatment entered in Charting in the Treatment Required section will appear as an item number in the Treatment Plan automatically.
Non chartable Items (x-ray, cleans etc.) should be manually entered into the Treatment Plan.

When the Set Display option is turned on in Charting page, the Treatment Plan can been viewed and has limited editing directly from there as well as from the treatment plan page itself. 

Treatment Plan Case Presentations

A Case Presentation allows Providers to present Treatment Plans not only with items & fees but also notes & images, which will describe the work proposed to their patients to help increase treatment plan acceptance.

Treatment Plan Status

InfoTreatment Plan Statuses assist the user to view and track treatment plans. Statuses available are: Presented, Accepted, Rejected & Completed

Treatment Plan Items from Charting

Treatment Plan is used to record treatment required for the patient and can also be used to provide a quotation to the patient.
The Treatment Plan can be generated automatically via Charting or by manually adding items.
This means, any treatment entered in Charting in the Treatment Required section will appear as an item number in the Treatment Plan automatically.
Notes
Non chartable Items (x-ray, cleans etc.) should be manually entered into the Treatment Plan. Or use Quick List Operations to setup Item groups

Adding Quick List operations to a Treatment Plan

Group a number of non chartable items together to create a Quick List operation. (e.g. Initial Exam adult = Items 011,114,121,022)

Once setup, operations can be made available in the pages selected (Charting, Perio, Treatment Plan, Treatment). These Quick Operational When selected from the Charting and Perio pages, items will appear in Treatment Plan. 
To select an operation in treatment plan page: 
  1. Operations Toolbar > find the Operation required (e.g. Initial Exam Adult)

    1. Enter any tooth number if required
  2. All items from the operational group are now entered in the treatment Plan

Enter a Total Fee for Treatment Items

The option to set a total figure for all outstanding item numbers is possible from Treatment Plan before the Treatment has been completed
  1. Enter the total amount to be charged in Total not done 

  2. Fees per item will then change based on this total figure

Treatment Plan Visits

Below the Treatment Plan Items:
  1. Tick Order Visit box
  2. The Visit column changes colour
  3. Highlight each item row to include in the visit number
  4. Click the number icon (ie. 1, 2 etc)
  5. Repeat steps for the remaining visits
  6. When done, remove tick from Order Visit box and the pink line will be removed

Reset Treatment Plan Visits

Remove ALL visits from the selected treatment plan. 
  1. TreatPlan toolbar > Reset patients visits
  2. Click YES

 Allocating Time to Treatment Plan Visits

The Treatment Plan can have time allocated to each visit. 
Notes
  1. Provides insight to those scheduling visits, how long is required
  2. Auto-allocates appointment time when scheduling
  1. Enter the time per visit in the min column

Moving Treatment Plan Items

Items in the Treatment Plan page can be placed into visit order and/or the order of the items can be moved around within the visits. 
There are 2 ways Treatment Plan items can be moved:
  1. Shift Up & Down arrows: this allows a single item to be moved up or down with each click
  2. Drag & Drop: This allows single or multiple item rows to be dragged and dropped where required within a visit

Shift Up & Down arrows

To shift an item up or down by 1 treatment row:
  1. Select the item row
  2. Click Down or Up arrow

Drag & Drop

To shift multiple rows and/or to shift more than 1 treatment row up or down, use the drop & drag feature:
  1. Select the item/s (use Ctrl or Shift key if more than 1 row)
  2. Click the 6 dots and drag the rows
  3. As you drag the rows you will see a red thick line to indicate where the items will be dropped when the click is released
     

Create an Alternative Treatment Plan

D4Web allows for alternative treatment plans to be generated for a patient, helping reduce confusion in tracking and patient comprehension. 
  1. Select the plan to create an alternative of from the Date drop list
  2. TreatPlan toolbar > Create Alternative Treatment Plan

  3. Build the new plan
  4. Switch between the two options using the Alternative Plans drop list

Delete Alternative Treatment Plan

Alternative Plans can only be deleted if they have not had items used from them, i.e. transferred to Treatment.
Notes
Option: For record keeping Treatment Plans created but not required could be set to rejected (see Treatment Plan Status) & made inactive rather than deleted. 
  1. Click the navigation menu > Patients > Treatment Plan page
  2. Select the multi-option plans from the Date drop list 
  3. Select the alternative plan to delete from the Alternative Plans drop list
  4. Treatment Plan toolbar > Delete Whole Plan
